What are the required specifications for music?

Valleyarm make distributing your music to a global audience easy, but there are some requirements that must be met to ensure your content can be delivered to all stores. The specifications for releases are:

  • Tracks – Valleyarm will only accept music in WAV format. These WAVs should be Stereo, PCM format with a 44.100 khz sample rate and 16 bit sampler size.
  • Artwork – Must be JPEG files no less than 2500×2500 pixels. Artwork must be in RGB format and 300 dpi. Many outlets place restrictions on artwork containing URLs, email adresses, the word “CD”, advertising for an external product or any pornographic material. Please refrain from including these as it will cause your release to be rejected by many outlets.
  • Artist Metadata – All releases and tracks must have a Primary Performer listed first in their Artist field with the primary box checked. All other composers, performers and featured artist (Good Song feat. Valleyarm) should be listed in their appropriate tracks for mechanical royalty and display purposes. Only Artists ticked as Primary will appear on the storefront. All tracks must have at least one composer, even if the composer is the same as the primary performer.
  • Label – The name of the record label releasing the content. If the release is being independently distributed, simply enter “Independent”.
